History[edit]

One day, Homer got caught stealing several watches from Sears.[1]

Homer and his vigilante group were after the "Cat Burglar," a criminal who had stolen Lisa's saxophone and many other items from the people of Springfield. Homer encountered a saxophonist performing on the streets. Believing it was his daughter's saxophone, Homer briefly interrogated the man and ordered his team to capture him. However, the saxophonist explained that he had gotten the instrument from Sears.[2]

During police questioning in the investigation into the shooting of Mr. Burns, Moe Szyslak underwent a lie detector examination. After falsely claiming that he had plans for the evening, Moe eventually admitted that he intended to spend the night alone at home reading the Sears catalog.[3]

After the owner of 50 Shades of Shades sold his half of the stall to Ned Flanders, Ned was happy because he would get the people coming out of Sears seeing his Leftorium stall. However, Sears then shut down due to Amazon.com, with a sign saying "Jeff Bezos Rot In Hell" on the front.[4]

Homer had a gift card for $500 at Sears. The Simpsons passed by a bankrupt Sears store on their way to Second Best Western hotel.[5]

Professor Frink's father is being awarded the Nobel prize posthumously, and Professor Frink is there to accept it on his behalf. However, Frink Sr. manages to reanimate himself by ripping out the organs of many of the residents of Springfield. Frink Sr. makes it to the ceremony and tries to make amends with his son for his recent behavior; however, he goes on another rampage through the audience, killing many and taking their brains. After putting on each brain like a hat, he learns all that they know, and after one of these incidents, he learns "The pyramids were actually built by Sears."[6]
