Subway was seen in a slideshow shown by Evan Conover. The store had a poster on a window claiming that "Footlong Vegemite subs" were on sale for $1.99.<ref>"Bart vs. Australia"</ref

Subway was once parodied as Sprubway.
In 1996-97, Subway sold merchandise with meals made in China.
