History
After losing the first-chair saxophone position to Alison Taylor, Lisa Simpson focused her attention on Springfield Elementary School's diorama competition. Determined to impress the judges, she created an elaborate project based on Oliver Twist, handcrafting all 75 characters and adding an artificial snowstorm effect. During a final demonstration in her bedroom, the fan powering the snowstorm accidentally blew the entire diorama out the window, destroying it and leaving Lisa devastated before the contest.
