History

In the spring of 1983, Marge and two neighbor women were talking about the final episode of M*A*S*H. One of them said, "That Mike Farrell really boiled my potato," while the other said she already missed Max Klinger.[1]

Lisa went to Dr. Hibbert's office, where she was given eardrops and told to wait 20 minutes for them to sink in. Hibbert offered her a M*A*S*H coloring book in case she got bored, then glanced at the pictures and chuckled at one with the caption, "Hawkeye Pierce's antics irritate the other surgeons."[2]

During an intense heat wave, the statues in the Springfield Wax Museum melted, including the original cast of M*A*S*H.[3]

Homer's collection of old issues of TV Guide fell onto Marge. One of the issues featured a cover story about M*A*S*H.[4]
