Springfield Correctional Institute is a prison facility in Springfield.
History[edit]
While Lisa and Bart watched a television special about The Itchy & Scratchy Movie, Maggie wandered away unnoticed. Homer asked Bart if he had been watching her, but Bart ignored the responsibility.
Maggie somehow got into Homer’s car and began driving through Springfield. The police thought it was amusing and did not stop her. The ride ended when the car crashed into the Springfield Correctional Institute. The air bag protected Maggie, but the crash allowed several inmates, including Snake Jailbird, to escape.
Afterward, Homer blamed Bart for not watching Maggie and punished him by banning him from seeing the movie.
