On-the-Job Straining is a premium questline in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It was introduced in the Fears of a Clown content update. It requires Clown Bart to be obtained.

Pt. 1[edit]

After tapping on Bart's exclamation mark Was THIS your card, Milhouse? It was! Great. Now pay up. *hands over five dollars* Are these card tricks all part of your clown act? No, I just needed a way to con some suckers out of some quick cash. Does that mean I'm a sucker? No way. You're my best friend. You want to bet I can juggle these pies? I'd love to, but I don't have any more money. This one's on the house. Wow! You're the best friend ever, Bart. By which I mean, you can owe me. Task: "Make Clown Bart Do Some Juggling". The job takes 4 hours. If Milhouse is owned: Task: "Make Milhouse Observe Clown Bart". The job takes place at the Simpson House or a Visitable Home and takes 4 hours. Looks like that stunt still needs a little work. Gee, ya think? Quest reward: 100 and 10

After tapping on Bart's exclamation mark I think I've figured out my problem. That your parents love your sisters more than you? I meant about my juggling. Right, that's what I meant, too. I need to practice my pie toss aim. I'll use your face as a target. Can't you just use a target like...a target? Do you want to help or not? Task: "Make Clown Bart Practice the Pie Toss". The job takes 4 hours. If Milhouse is owned: Task: "Make Milhouse Gird His Face Muscles". The job takes place at the Simpson House or a Visitable Home and takes 4 hours. Wow, I've never seen a pigeon fly in the direct line of a thrown pie. Yeah, that was weird. Though it does make you think... About whether a pigeon might eat us in our sleep? No. About whether one might fly between Homer's hands and my throat. Quest reward: 100 and 10

After tapping on Bart's exclamation mark Enough practice. It's time for the ultimate clown stunt. Are you sure? Your last few stunts have fallen pretty flat. Those were merely warmups for... The Ring of Fire! Whoa, there's fire involved? In that case, I withdraw my previous objection. All I need is a unicycle, a ring, some fire, and a chaperone. A chaperone? Won't they make it lame? Don't be such an amateur, Milhouse. Anybody who would agree to be a chaperone for a stunt like this has gotta be a world class freak themselves. Huh. You are the prank master. Task: "Make Clown Bart Get a Chaperone". The job takes place at Stage 1 and takes 4 hours. If Milhouse is owned: Task: "Make Milhouse Follow Bart". The job takes place at Stage 1 and takes 4 hours. You're gonna do WHAT? Just your standard clown stunt. Jumping through a ring of fire on a unicycle is not "standard". Unless you're in Russia. Does that mean you're not gonna let me do it? No chance. This has liability written all over it, and I'm already up to my mortar board in lawsuits. Oh well, I guess I'll have to move on to Plan B. Dasvidaniya Komrade Krusty. Quest reward: 200 and 20
