"Waiting for Duffman" is the seventeenth episode of broadcast season 26 of The Simpsons and the five hundred sixty-ninth episode overall. It originally aired on March 15, 2015. The episode was written by John Frink and directed by Steven Dean Moore. It guest stars Cat Deeley as herself, R. Lee Ermey as Colonel Leslie Hapablap, and Stacy Keach as Howard K. Duff VIII.
"Waiting for Duffman" was dedicated in memory of Sam Simon, who died on March 8.
Summary[edit]
- When Duffman undergoes hip replacement surgery and retires, the company sets up a reality show competition to find his replacement. Homer wins the competition, and because the job requires him to stay sober, he realizes he doesn't need beer to enjoy himself.
