Skypark-Line was a walkway and park in Springfield, built on the remains of the old Springfield Monorail.

History

Skypark-Line was opened to the public in Springfield, which many townspeople visited on the day. When the power was turned on to the park, the old Monorail train received power and started up. It tore through the Skypark-Line, destroying much of it and hitting Sebastian Cobb. Eventually, it crashed off the edge and destroyed a statue memorial of Leonard Nimoy.

Description

The Skypark-Line had benches, planters, and solar-powered talking trashcans that thanked you for depositing trash. It also included a play area for children with rides. In some sections of the Skypark-Line, it was so narrow that two people couldn't pass at the same time.

Behind the Laughter

The Skypark-Line is a parody of the High Line in New York City, which was built on a spur of the New York Central Railroad.
