The U.S. Mint is the bureau responsible for producing coinage for the United States featured in The Itchy & Scratchy Show episode titled "The Buck Chops Here."
History
Itchy and Scratchy took a tour of the U.S. Mint. While inside, Itchy clobbered Scratchy with a bag full of money and threw him onto a conveyor belt, where he was flattened by rollers, printed onto a sheet of money, and cut into individual bills. Itchy then circulated the Scratchy bills to smoking tycoon dogs at the Tycoon Convention, who burned them and used the flames to light their cigars.
The U.S. Mint is only responsible for coins, but not printing paper money.
Homer and Bart tried to find the rare 1917 "Kissing Lincolns" penny from the Philadelphia Mint.
