- The music played over the episode's closing credits is strongly reminiscent of the theme from Hill Street Blues.
Goofs
- At the beginning of the episode, Marge's necklace is white. Later on its her trademark orange necklace.
- On Marge's first assignment for the Springfield Police Department she is told to patrol "Junkyville and Bumtown." Yet when she is walking down the street the clinic says "Junkytown Legal Clinic."
- Chief Wiggum's hair colour changes several times during the episode, from black to blue and then back to black.
