She voiced Rita LaFleur, Grampa's former wife, and sung a duet with Dan Castellaneta in the season 24 episode "Gone Abie Gone". She stated on Twitter: "Headed to celebration for #TheSimpsons 500th episode! So excited to be a part of that series! My episode will open the season in September!". However, her episode was not the season opener, it was "Moonshine River", her episode aired in November.
