The Patriots of Tomorrow Awards or Patriots of Tomorrow Essay Contest is a essay contest sponsored by Reading Digest magazine.

History

Homer notices an ad for an essay contest in which the winner receives an all expense paid trip to Washington D.C., Lisa retrieves the magazine and reads more about the essay contest; she decides to write an essay and enter the contest.

Regional finals

The Springfield regional finals was held at the Veterans of Popular Wars building, and judges included Jasper Beardsley.

Finalists

The finals were held at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the judges include Chilton Danes, Wilson DeFarge, Brad Fletcher, Rowena and Alonzo Flowers.

Troung won the competition and was presented with a giant check for $10,000.
