Barnacle Bay is an island in New England. After seeing old footage of a family trip to Barnacle Bay, Marge begins to feel nostalgic and as a result, Homer takes her there. Although the island of old was a paradise, the island the Simpsons saw was a disgusting dump. The main industries on the island are tourism and fishing for "Yum Yum fish", but after a stern lecture from Lisa on the dangers of over-fishing, the island inhabitants switched over to logging.
