"Clown In The Dumps" was the season 26 premiere[1] episode that was aired on September 28, 2014.[2]

Synopsis

"A Springfield resident dies. Also, Krusty retires after he’s offended by a comedy cable channel roast of him, and Lisa tries to protect Homer from getting hurt.[3]"

Production

A major character who regularly teamed up with Bart will die in this episode.[4] The character would have appeared more than twice in the show and will be voiced by an Emmy Award-winning voice actor who won an Emmy for the role as the character. This will be the season 26 premiere. As Al Jean said[5], it won't be Edna Krabappel, due to Marcia Wallace's death[6] and Hank Azaria confirmed that it wasn't one of his characters.[7] It won't be Homer.[8] There will be a scene that will feature Lisa worrying about Homer's health as he struggles with a sleep mask.[8]

Character Death

The Character who died was Rabbi Krustofsky.[9]
