If someone goes against the policy, calmly point them towards this page and ask them not to. Bring the subject up on the talk page and if there is a community consensus, the revert can be reverted again.

If the policy is broken by a user by them reverting a revert, the page should be put back to the way it was after the first revert. The edit in question should then be brought up on the article's talk page by the editor so they can explain why they think the edit that was reverted should be added back into the page.

Wiki.png This page is an official Wikisimpsons policy and must be followed.
Failure to do so will result in consequences.

A user's edit must only be reverted once. If you disagree with the revert, it must be brought up on the article's talk page.

Exceptions[edit]

  • Vandalism - If the revert is vandalism, it is exempt from the rule.
  • False information - Reverting obvious false information is also exempt. This can be considered vandalism.

Policy break[edit]

If the policy is broken by a user by them reverting a revert, the page should be put back to the way it was after the first revert. The edit in question should then be brought up on the article's talk page by the editor so they can explain why they think the edit that was reverted should be added back into the page.

If a user continuously tries to put their edit through without bringing it up on the article's talk page, or continuously breaks the policy, it will result in a block.
