Trivia
- This story is the first of the Maggie's Crib series of short comic stories by Sergio Aragonés.
- Maggie is shown to have an interest in police procedural television shows.
- The can of Duff Beer that Maggie opens to lure Homer has a pull tab rather than a stay-on tab (also called a "pop top").
Continuity
- Homer's fondness for Duff Beer also leaves him vulnerable to a prank in the television episode "So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show" (in the present-day portion which is set at April Fool's Day).
- Maggie is also shown to have an interest in violent TV programs in the comic story Maggie's Crib 7, where she channel-surfs to scary movies on the sly.
