Crazy Cat Lady is a minor character in The Simpsons, She was initially introduced in the episode The Girlie Edition, she was brought in as a one-off character that then began to make seemingly random appearances in future episodes.
In one episode, it is revealed that her name is Eleanor and that she was a Yale Law School & Harvard Medical School graduate before suffering some unexplained mental disorder brought on by presumably stress and burnout later on in life.
