Ron Howard is an American film director and producer. He has also been successful as an actor, where his best known roles were playing Richie Cunnigham on Happy Days and Opie Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show.
Howard has appeared twice on The Simpsons, voicing himself in the episodes "When You Dish Upon a Star" and "Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder". He had been set to appear in "Children of a Lesser Clod", but dropped out for unknown reasons.
Ron Howard was voted 12th in IGN's "Top 25 Simpsons Guest Stars".
