World War I or the Great War was a global military conflict from 1914 to 1918.
History[edit]
Bart wanted to buy Radioactive Man #1 comic book, so he went over to Mrs. Glick's house to do some chores. He saw a yellowed photo of a World War I serviceman and asked who he was, and Mrs. Glick answered, "Oh, that's my brother Asa. He was killed in the great war. Held a grenade too long."[1]
Grampa told Bart that he had fought in World War I; however, he had to lie about his age to enlist. Six-year-old Abe was sent to the trenches, where he tried to show the general a drawing he had made. However, being one of Grampa's stories, the validity of the story is questionable.[2]
