Homer's X-Ray clearly shows the crayon that reduces his intelligence first seen in HOMЯ.
At the end of the episode when Homer drinks some Duffs to power himself up and rescue Marge is a reference to Popeye cartoons, where Popeye rescues his love by powering himself up with spinach.
The name of this episode is a reference to the film Eyes Wide Shut.
There is a float on the gay parade called "Stayin' In The Closet" with a man and a woman peering out. It is heavily implied that they are Patty Bouvier and Waylon Smithers. While Patty confirmed she was a lesbian in season 16's episode "There's Something About Marrying", there has been no official confirmation that Smithers is homosexual (though a running gag heavily implies it).
When Homer is twirling Maggie around by her pacifier, the music playing is the music from the tornado scene in The Wizard of Oz.
