Slow Leonard is a tortoise at Springfield Zoo.

When the Simpson family went to the zoo, Homer was happy to hear that Slow Leonard was still alive. However, Slow Leonard was missing from his enclosure. When Homer confronted the Springfield Zoo director about his disappearance, she dismissed Homer and said that he'll be around somewhere. Homer then started to look into Slow Leonard's disappearance and thought that he had been kidnapped. Homer went to Chief Wiggum with his concerns, but was dismissed. He then posted on a group on Facelook where his theories were quickly accepted.

Homer and the people he met online formed a conspiracy group trying to solve the disappearance of Slow Leonard. The group came up with multiple theories, from the director kidnapping him, to Slow Leonard being used as a drug mule and his semen being used to breed slow horses. The group then decided to protest outside of the director's house, who insisted that she didn't kidnap Slow Leonard as that's exactly what a zoo is anyway...
