History[edit]
Bart rented Homer's favorite gorilla movies, Gorilla Squadron, Gorilla Island VI, and Apes-A-Poppin' before he was going to give Grampa one of his kidneys. When Homer found out that Apes-A-Poppin' was the airline version, he became very happy.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
It appears to be a parody of the 1941 musical film Hellzapoppin' starring a cast of apes.
