"Daddicus Finch" is the ninth episode of broadcast season 30 of The Simpsons and the six hundred forty-eighth episode overall. It originally aired on December 2, 2018. The episode was written by Al Jean and directed by Steven Dean Moore. It guest stars Jon Lovitz as Llewellyn Sinclair and the Rabbi and J. K. Simmons as Dr. Jessup. It also guest stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch, Mary Badham as Scout Finch, Phillip Alford as Jem Finch and John Megna as Dill Harris via archive footage.
"Daddicus Finch" was dedicated in memory of Ricky Jay who passed away on November 24.

Synopsis[edit]
- Lisa and Homer's bond grows stronger when they start spending real quality time together, and she begins to see him in a similar light to Atticus Finch. This causes Bart to feel neglected, so Marge tries to help Homer balance his attention between the kids.
Plot[edit]
At the second grade play at the school, Ralph plays broccoli and fails to remember that his color is green, saying purple instead. Llewellyn Sinclair then moves on to Nelson's depiction of veal, with him shooting a cow in the head using a captive-bolt gun. Lisa barges in, dressed as a pork chop, and protests the scene. Chalmers proclaims the show is over, and Sinclair removes the props, burning his hand in the process.
Outside, Lisa is stuck in her costume, which she hates. Marge nudges Homer to cheer her up. The next day, Homer mistakes the weather numbers for lottery numbers. Marge suggests he do something with Lisa, so he takes her to the Springfield Mall, where he protects her dignity. She begins to see him as Atticus Finch, the main character of the novel she's reading, To Kill a Mockingbird.
At home, they watch the movie adaptation of the novel when Bart and Milhouse change the channel to The Itchy & Scratchy Show. Lisa tells Homer he is her hero, prompting Bart to ask Maggie if he is her hero—she does not respond, and he gets punched in the face by Grampa.
