Because Bart felt embarrassed about this, he yelled at Ms. Peyton and ran off. After this incident, Ms. Peyton referred to Bart as "angry drowning boy" in her head, since she didn't know his name.

When Ms. Peyton introduced herself to the other teachers, she told them that she wanted to do project-based learning with the school. At first, the other teachers weren't interested, but Ms. Peyton then revealed that she had drawn up all the lesson plans they would need. When Ms. Peyton was introduced to Bart, she didn't recognize him, but Bart recognized her. Due to Bart's antics, Ms. Peyton ended up calling Homer and Marge into the school to discuss Bart's behavior...
