chatter is a social network.

History[edit]

When Bart got Professor Frink's old U-Phone, he joined chatter. He sent a message on chatter to get other kids to come and save him from his 3:45 beating with the bullies. After this, he gave the phone to Lisa so she could use chatter. She created an account, but only got one follower, "In Da House", even after posting fifty chats.

Wanting to become more popular on chatter, Lisa decided to use Maggie's picture and create a new account called "chatterbaby", where she pretended to be Maggie and posted thought-provoking messages in the style of a baby. This led to the account gaining thousands of followers and caught the attention of three-time Tony Award winner Benson Scott. Benson told the Simpson family that he wanted to write a play based on Maggie and chatterbaby, which would also be called chatterbaby. As Maggie was being passed around her fans, Lisa accidentally sent another post on the chatterbaby account, which Milhouse caught her doing.

On the day of the play, Benson Scott had No Threat come onto the stage before the performance to perform their new song, "Chatterbaby, We Love You Maggie!". This was too much for Lisa, who interrupted the performance to tell everyone that she was behind the chatterbaby account. This led to Benson canceling the play and telling the Simpsons that he would sue them for the money he lost making it.
