"Lard of the Dance" is the first episode of broadcast season 10 of The Simpsons and the two hundred fourth episode overall. It originally aired on August 23, 1998. The episode was written by Jane O'Brien and directed by Dominic Polcino. It guest stars Lisa Kudrow as Alex Whitney.
Synopsis[edit]
- Homer and Bart team up to make money in the grease recycling business. Meanwhile, Lisa is chosen to introduce a new student to Springfield Elementary, one who's years ahead of her age.

At breakfast, Homer begins frying up various amounts of bacon to use the grease to make money, then decides to hire Bart for his "grease business" (ultimately forcing Bart to quit school).
