- Bart plays the role of Bart Fink, based on brawler and river boatman Mike Fink.
- Milhouse plays the role of Huckleberry Finn, Nelson plays the role of Tom Sawyer, and Martin plays Becky Thatcher from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Sawyer mentions his Aunt Polly, also from the book.
