Bleeding Gums Murphy revealed that after recording his album Sax on the Beach, he spent much of his earnings on an expensive Fabergé egg collecting habit. He recalled regularly purchasing the luxury decorative eggs, which cost about $1,500 each per day, eventually exhausting the money he had earned from his music career.[1]
