The Nuclear Testing Zone is a restricted area used for nuclear weapons experiments and is notable as the birthplace of Radioactive Man, first introduced in Radioactive Man #1.
History[edit]
A simple man was driving along an empty road. He stepped out of his car and began to walk as heavy clouds gathered overhead. While crossing a fence, his pants got caught on barbed wire. A sign nearby warned: "Nuclear Testing Zone – Keep Out."
Ignoring the danger, he ventured further until he saw a bomb. Suddenly, it exploded. The blast engulfed him, and he began to change—his body glowing, his very being becoming radioactive. From that moment, he called himself "Radioactive Man."
