The Springfield Firehouse served as the base of operations for the Springfield Fire Department, a group tasked with locating and burning lowbrow contraband. Employees of the Fire Department included Homer Simpson, Lou, Eddie, Lunchlady Dora, Rainier Wolfcastle, and Moe Szyslak.
