Croquet is a sport that involves hitting balls with a mallet through hoops embedded in a grass playing court.

History[edit]

Homer Simpson was telling his children about the early days of his relationship with Marge, including their struggles and eventual marriage. As he spoke, Bart and Lisa lost interest and went outside, where they began playing croquet in the yard instead of listening.[1]

During a dispute at Springfield Elementary School, Groundskeeper Willie insulted Principal Seymour Skinner by calling him a "croquet-playing mint muncher."[2]
