God asked Homer if St. Louis still had a football team, but Homer informed Him that they had moved to Phoenix.[1]
When Homer was creating New Springfield, he said to the residents that they could now just sit back and wait for an NFL franchise. A representative of the Arizona Cardinals then started to talk with Homer, but he quickly refused him.[2]
