- Marge: Sorry to have woken you, Dr. Hibbert.
- Dr. Hibbert: It's all right. This is what us doctors call golden time. I'll just bill you triple the normal fee. Ah hee hee hee! And you were right to call me. Middle child syndrome is serious business. Parents lavish attention on the first born because of the novelty and the youngest because they're cutest, leaving the middle child starved for attention. The earliest exeample was Catin and Able's brother, Kevin.
- Marge: I've never heard of him.
- Dr. Hibbert: No one paid any attention to him. That's how he was able to frame his brother for murder!
- Homer: So, left untreated, Lisa could become a framer?
- Dr. Hibbert: Only in extreme cases most middle chioldren find outlets in the arts. For example, Conan O'Brien and Billy Baldwin!
- Marge: Good lord!
- Homer: [CHOKE!]
- Homer: Marge, I'm home! And everything is going to be just fine! I adopted Nelson!
- Nelson Muntz: Ha, ha!
- Marge: Oh, dear!
- Nelson: You made Nelson our bouncer?
- Homer: Yeah, he really keeps out the salesman, bill collectors, church folk, and asbestos removers!
- Milhouse Van Houten: I'm here to see Bart.
- Nelson: What's the house policy on nerds?
- Homer: Lisa's okay, toss the rest!
- Bart: No wait! Let him in! He makes me look cool by comparison!
- Principal Skinner: Nelson Muntz, I want you! I want you to go back to being a bully!
- Jimbo Jones: This is an intervention, dude!
- Nelson: Look, I'd love to go gack to the pounding dorks, but I have another full-time job with the Simpsons family!
- Lisa: You know, all this happened because you didn't pay attention to me!
- Homer: Oh... hey, Lisa! How's it going?
- Lisa: And you still haven't paid any attention to me in weeks!
- Homer: Hers $20! Why don't you buy yourself a new Malibu Stacy doll?
- Lisa: I love you, dad!
- Homer: I love you too, honey!
- Bart: If you can't pay attention to your kids, just pay them!
