The Sharper Mark-Up is a shop in Springfield that sells upscale merchandise.
History
When Homer, Apu, Moe and Principal Skinner joined the Springfield Fire Department as volunteers, they found that the owners of the businesses where they put out fires would give them gifts to thank them for their help. This eventually led to them stealing things from businesses that had fires. When they put out a fire at The Sharper Mark-Up, Homer stole an air purifier and five Segways from the store. This theft led to Homer's stealing being caught by Marge and the kids, and they guilt-tripped him into quitting his thievery and eventually returning everything he had stolen.
Behind the Laughter
The store's name is a pun on The Sharper Image.
