Plot[edit]
Mr. Burns loses Smithers to Homer in a game of poker and he is forced to become Homer's personal assistant. The pair are soon fired when Smithers gives Burns a list of safety violations which could potentially cost him millions. Smithers begins to take over Marge's role as Homer's caregiver, which quickly leads to competition between the two "wives". Although Smithers proves to be better than Marge, he quits after Homer accidentally melts his Malibu Stacy collection.
Meanwhile, Bart takes over Smithers' role as Mr. Burns' assistant. Although he hates the job which involves tending to Burns' physical needs, he suggests that Burns include paintballing, free soda and arcade games to increase employee motive. The caffeine and paint fumes drive the workers insane and fights break out after a disagreement over who should be hailed king out of Lenny and Carl. Smithers and Homer are later rehired and everything returns to normal.
