Comic Story information
|
Lisa Simpson's Book Club is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #81.
Plot
Lisa finds out that no one has read the book of the month, Floss, I Hardly Knew Ye, in Springfield Book Club. Lisa asks the members to tell stories that meant something to them, and they must change them enough that they not do violate any copyright laws. Sea Captain begins to tell his story, "Rhyme of the Middle-Aged Mariner." Homer then tells the story of "The Little Engine That Couldn't Care Less". Patty and Selma tell the story of "Little Women" and Apu tells about "The 7 Habits of Highly Successful Kwik-E-Mart Employees" before Grampa enters the room and tells the story of "The Lion, The Wardrobe, and the Snow Queen." Bart tells the story of "Lisa Longsocks". Lisa tells the story "Something Pretty Bad This Way Is Coming". Then she smells smoke and finds out that their time is up, and it's time for the "Book Burning Club" meeting.
