Cultural references

Opening scene

  • Homer is dressed as a trash bin version of Bender from Futurama.
  • Maggie is dressed as Charlie Chaplin, but afterwards she changes to her look as Alex from A Clockwork Orange and turns to violence towards the bad guys.
  • Homer has a election pin with "Ivanka 2028" written on it. This is a reference to Donald Trump daughter, Ivanka Trump.
  • Frank Grimes mentions that this is the 600th episode saying "In hell they make you watch them all in a row". This is a reference to the FXX 13 days marathon, showing all the episodes of the show in a row.
