To build it, Mr. Burns had to destroy [[Lisa]]'s bee sanctuary. The people of [[Springfield]] was almost convinced by Lisa to prevent Mr. Burns from destroying the sanctuary but, when everyone saw the model of the stadium, they voted for the construction of the stadium. Africanized bees soon took over the stadium and it currently acts as a giant bee hive, home to thousands of bees.
