The family walk up to the stage to present an award for outstanding comedy. Bart interrupts several times by calling everything "The Bart Simpson Show". He later rips the envelope with the winner's name by mistake, creating more suspense on the public.

At the end of Michael Jackson's music video "Black or White", Bart is jumping on the sofa to the tune. Homer walks in and turns the TV off. The intro to this video is similar to The Simpsons intro, plus a Bartman poster in on the kids wall.
