"Bart the Genius" is the second episode of Season 1 and the first episode of the series to use the famous opening sequence. It aired on January 14, 1990.
Bart swaps papers with Martin Prince during an intelligence test at school. When the school psychologist compiles the test results, he believes the switch and refers Bart to the Enriched Learning Center for Gifted Children.
