Affiliation...or not

Hmm... Just kind of thinking whether we should allow other ShoutWiki sites to affiliate with us. Especially as they are not-Simpsons. I was very reluctant to make an article on NIWA and I may still delete the article. I guess we could just link yo you and you could do the same to us. So, that's a yes then. Transcripts?

Hi, I am thinking of adding some transcripts later - if that's alright with you? Simpsons Crazy has a whole lot of them, so we can just copy them over and reformat them. I was also thinking of designing a template (similar to the one that's been created linking character galleries etc.) which would say: "Wikisimpsons has a transcript of this episode here" or something? What do you think. I was also thinking of perhaps creating a Project: Transcripts so more people could help out? I'll get round to doing all of this eventually - I've been revising for 2 weeks non-stop ready for an exam tomorrow! Thanks, Effluvium 16:35, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

A project for transcripts itself is a bit too much. A sub-section of Project Episodes would suffice though. We have a few transcripts (Category:Transcripts) so if you can set them up similar to those then that would be good. Feel free to steal the code I used for the image template too.

Right, created the template. As usual, it doesn't work. Could you take a look? I've added it to the Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire article. I'm not sure how to organize the transcripts either, should it be: Episode Name/Transcript? Effluvium 16:59, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Sourcing

When it comes to sourcing statements to episodes, most articles here use the <ref></ref> method. However, I think it would be more efficient if we employed the method used by lostpedia where they have the episode title right after the statement (example). I guess one problem is that the titles for Simpsons episodes are generally longer, so they would be more intrusive, but I still think it would be better than what is done now. -- Brian McClure 16:41, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
