When the show's ratings began to drop, Kang and Kodos introduced a new form of [[Buzz Cola]] to Springfield designed to make the citizens behave more erratically. When this failed to boost the ratings, they introduced the cola into the water supply and began selling laser guns so everyone would go insane and start shooting each other. Even though this plan was thwarted by [[Bart]], the cola eventually caused zombies to rise from the dead. However, shortly after this, [[Homer]] discovered that the aliens' weakness was nuclear waste and used it to kill them both. Homer's defeat of the aliens caused ''Foolish Earthlings'' ratings to soar, and he became immensely popular among Rigellians overnight.
