DinoSponges are novelty compressed sponges that expand into dinosaur shapes when soaked with water.
History[edit]
After selling his soul to Milhouse Van Houten for five dollars, Bart Simpson spent the money on a package of DinoSponges. Intending to prank Lisa, he placed one in the driveway and waited with a garden hose, imagining that the sponge would expand into a gigantic dinosaur and frighten her. In reality, the DinoSponge grew only slightly before sliding into a nearby sewer grate and disappearing. Disappointed by the failed prank, Bart complained that he had wasted the five dollars on the DinoSponges.
