Missing the Issues is a comic story first printed in Bart Simpson's Joke Book. The story was remade into The Simpsons Comic Strips story Missing Issues.
Synopsis[edit]
- Bart is excited to buy the new Radioactive Man comic, but quickly becomes disappointed with it.
Plot[edit]
The latest issue of Radioactive Man is out, which Bart has been waiting all month for. However, when flicking through the comic, he finds that the art isn't by the regular artist and is horrible. The artist also didn't draw any backgrounds until page fourteen, there are no establishing shots, and the panels have so many ink lines that he can't tell what's happening. Milhouse tells Bart that it would send a message to the publisher by refusing to buy it, but Bart buys it anyway because he doesn't want to leave a hole in his collection, which shocks Milhouse.
