As the Simpsons looked at the meteor, it hatched, revealing the Space Marshmallow inside. Homer picked up the Space Marshmallow with a stick and decided to eat it. After a short struggle to get the Space Marshmallow to stay down, he finally succeeded. That night, while he was trying to sleep, Homer's stomach started making noises. He then got up and went into the kitchen where he ate all the food in the house. Hearing the noises, Bart went into the kitchen to find out what was going on, and Homer tried to eat Bart. Molly is an octopus that Lisa saved and befriended while filming My Cephalopod Soulmate.

When Lisa was making a film underwater as part of the Future Nature Documentarians, she found Molly and decided to film her. During the film, Molly was attacked by a shark and seemingly killed by it. However, Lisa actually saved Molly from the shark, with the shark only biting off one tentacle. Lisa then took Molly home with her, while she ended the film with Molly seemingly being killed because they weren't allowed to interfere with nature.
