[[Marge]] found that the "UFO" was an old golf umbrella stuck in a tree, but Bart still wasn't convinced. He asked to sleep with his parents, to which Marge quickly said "no". In her eagerness to get back to [[Homer]], however, Marge agreed that Bart could sit on the roof with a baseball bat in case a UFO did come.

His interest was fueled by the suddenly-appearing behavior among the town's adults of rushing home and immediately going indoors (which was actually due to the introduction of [[Simpson & Son Revitalizing Tonic]]). Bart and the neighborhood kids, however, knowing nothing of the tonic, developed an elaborate theory involving the {{w|RAND Corporation}}, the "saucer people" and "[[Made-up words#Reverse Vampires|reverse vampires]]" to explain the adults' behavior.

A Derren Brown Christmas is a Christmas documentary starring Derren Brown.

Derren Brown went to Springfield to film A Derren Brown Christmas. He chose Springfield because there was no feeling of Christmas spirit in the town. So that he wouldn't reveal what he was really doing to the townspeople, he told Mayor Quimby and the people of Springfield that the town had won an award for being the "Christmasiest" Town in America, and he and Hark Media were there to film a documentary about it.
