The capital city is London where the Simpsons visit. The USA gained independence from England during the Revoloutionary War. England was bombed by Germany during WWI and World War II, but managed to win the war with the help of the USA. In the episode Lisa's Wedding it is mentioned that England supported the USA duting World War III.
