The Itchy & Scratchy cartoon "Skinless in Seattle" was set at the Space Needle.[2]
When Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie headed for Springfield to save it from being turned into the "New Grand Canyon", they took a train which stopped in Seattle, where they were apprehended. The Needle was visible in the background on the city's skyline.[3]
