Marge's professor, Mr. Schindler, disliked Ringo Starr and was tired of Marge painting portraits of him. On one occasion, he dumped a canvas Marge had just finished and praised another student's painting. She was so disappointed and angry that she sent a photo to the only man whose judgment she could trust: Ringo Starr. But she got no response and never painted again. While Homer was looking for his weights in the attic, Bart stumbled on the paintings. Lisa suggested that Marge take painting classes at Springfield Community College. Professor Lombardo liked her paintings and accepted her.[1]
Later, Marge tried to sell one of the paintings at the Springfield Swap Meet.[2] Another was seen in the Simpsons' attic.[3][4][5][6]
