It started during a school trip to the lab where Frink shows his [[The Contactinator|Contactinator]], a set-like broadcasting device used in the attempt to contact and communicate with extraterrestrial life forms in the vast reaches of the cosmos. Frink decides to give the class a demonstration. He says into the computer's microphone: "Professor John Frink of Planet Earth Calling all sentient ''glavin'' life for friendship and possibly more." When he does not get any answer, the whole class laughs at him.
  
[[Bart Fink]] learns from [[Huckleberry Finn|Huck Finn]] ([[Milhouse Van Houten|Milhouse]]) that [[Injun Apu]] wants the gold he is owed. Huck sees [[Tom Sawyer]] ([[Nelson Muntz|Nelson]]) threatening two frogs ([[Rod Flanders|Rod]] and [[Todd Flanders|Todd]]) into letting his frog win the Calaveras County Frog Race. Bart steals a gold statue from a tomb and escapes from a mecha built out of corn pone. Huck informs Tom that Injun Apu has kidnapped [[Becky Thatcher]] ([[Martin Prince, Jr.|Martin]]). They reach Apu's hideout to rescue Becky, and duel with lightsabers. Bart sails to the hideout in a speedboat, which gets attacked by genetically engineered piranhas. As Huck and Tom are about to beat Apu, he unleashes giant space worms on them. Bart crashes his speedboat into the hideout.

Unleash the Glavin is a The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror story that appears in The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror #16.

Professor Frink's lab is destroyed and Bart and Frink are arguing whose fault it is.
